Soy wax has many environmental and health benefits and we love working with it. Here are some of our top reasons for choosing soy wax candles.
Longer Burning: Soy wax has a lower melting point than other waxes. This means it burns cooler and lasts up to 40-50% longer, resulting in long lasting candles and giving you better value for money.
Better Fragrance: A candle’s scent is emitted into the air from the wax pool that surrounds the wick. Because the melt point is lower with soy wax, a healthier and larger wax pool around the wick is created, resulting in a stronger aroma. This wax pool allows the fragrance oils to more easily vaporise, and thus releasing more fragrance into the home.
Easier to clean: Spills of soy wax is much easier to get out of fabrics or table cloths as it is biodegradable, with a simple wipe and its gone. Soy washes away with warm soapy water making it easy to repurpose your glass jar once your candle has burned down. No more chipping away at residual wax.
Clean burning: Soy burns clean and doesn’t release toxins or pollutants. Minimal soot is released when burning your soy candle. Keeping the wick trimmed short will also ensure that the candle doesn’t smoke and that it burns efficiently. Soy wax won’t release petrol-carbon soot like you get from paraffin candles meaning no oily black marks on your walls!
Renewable Resource: Soybeans are an environmentally friendly, sustainable and a renewable resource.
Non-Toxic: Soy is a carbon neutral product, meaning you can enjoy your candle knowing it hasn’t had a negative impact on the environment.
A Treat For Your Skin: Soy wax can also be used on your skin (but always do a patch test beforehand). It leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated and smelling amazing
Instructions: Light your candle for 30 – 45 minutes before applying small amounts to your skin. Lightly massage into your skin in circular motions. Add more if necessary. The outcome is incredible. Your skin will feel rejuvenated and hydrated, as if you’ve just stepped out of a luxury spa, but still in the comfort of your own home.
